Murray Goulburn staff will be offered voluntary redundancies as part of changes to its Inbound Logistics business.

Dairy processor Murray Goulburn Co-operative has announced it will be offering voluntary redundancies as part of changes to its Inbound Logistics (IBL) business in response to the reduction in milk supply and its milk collection needs.

The changes to IBL will significantly increase Murray Goulburn's logistics efficiency relative to milk intake, while ensuring sufficient capacity to manage collections through seasonal peak production.

The changes are expected to affect 60 tanker operator roles in Rochester, Koroit, Leongatha and Maffra sites as well as a number of support roles.

To minimise the impacts, Murray Goulburn will be seeking to make changes to rosters and offering voluntary redundancies.
